I am a Lecturer in Linguistics at the University of Suffolk. Prior to this, I was a Postdoctoral Research Assistant on the ‘Accent Bias in Britain Project’ and a Visiting Lecturer in Social Media & Digital Culture at Regents University London. Broadly speaking, I am a Sociolinguist who is interested in language variation and change.
My research explores the intersection of digital culture and language variation and change. I am particularly interested in exploring how users’ online practices can be used to infer the social meaning of linguistic variation.
